I was pretty disappointed with "F is for Fugitive" but this was a vast improvement!

The description of The Slabs and the Salton Sea were interesting enough to get me started researching the areas. The characters were sympathetic and Kinsey showed some real vulnerability instead of the constant sneer she seemed to have for everyone in "F." The mystery was interesting and complex. The series is definitely back on track and one of my favorites.

Kinsey is hired to find the mother of a client which turns into a deeper story of family secrets that have been hidden for years.  While working on the case in some interesting environments, she is also running from a hitman hired by someone she put away several years ago. I enjoyed this one thoroughly.
